SureShell carriers for the M4 SOPMOD buttstock
Not long ago, we were asked whether we made a SureShell buttcuff for the M4 SOPMOD stocks we use with our telescoping stock kits. We’d seen these sorts of things in the past, but weren’t sure what kind of demand there would be for them. With the modular design of the SureShell carrier, it was pretty simple to come up with a new product. So here it is.
These new SureShell carriers are available now, in four- and six-shell versions:
93340 SureShell Carrier for M4 SOPMOD Stock (4-Shell, 12-GA) (right side) 60.00
93350 SureShell Carrier for M4 SOPMOD Stock (6-Shell, 12-GA) (right side) 65.00
We designed them to be fitted to the right side of the stock as shown, but they can also be fitted to the left side by turning the bracket upside down.

Mossberg 930 SureShell carriers finally here!
It’s been a long wait, but the SureShell shotshell carriers for the Mossberg 930 are finally available. It took a lot longer than expected for us to manufacture the custom Chicago screws we developed for this application. Note that as additional screw lengths continue to arrive from our screw machine shop in the next few weeks, we will be applying this new fastener system to our SureShell carriers for Benellis and Mossbergs.
We are shipping the SureShell carriers for the Mossberg 930 to stocking dealers this week.
Here are the part numbers and prices:
93020 SureShell Carrier for Moss 930 (4-Shell, 12-GA) 65.00
93030 SureShell Carrier for Moss 930 (6-Shell, 12-GA) 70.00
93040 SureShell Carrier for Moss 930 (8-Shell, 12-GA) 85.00

Backorder backlog clearing up
Those of you who have tried to order Mesa Tactical products in the last several months are probably aware that we have been having a great deal of difficulty keeping things in stock. Well, the backlog is starting to become unblocked now, and shipments are flowing out the door.
We have been subject to a combination of production problems related to our own rapid and unprecedented growth in sales since last fall (which took us by surprise) as well as our dependence, for some items such as stock kits, on AR-15 parts that have been difficult to find these days. But as of now, we finally can see some light at the end of the tunnel. The following is a report on the status of shipments as of 23 April 2009:
Telescoping Stock Kits
Around the first of this year we revised the designs of several of our telescoping stock adapters, which led to production delays. Then, as the new adapters began to appear, we were virtually shut down by a national shortage of M4 stock nuts (“castle” nuts). We finally decided to start making our own, and they just arrived from our screw machine shop this week (pictured above). Now that stock kits are shipping, here is where we stand with them:
LEO Telescoping Stock Kits for Remington 870: We filled all our backorders for these this week, and are now awaiting the arrival of more adapters from the foundry. We expect to start shipping them again by the middle of next week.
LEO Telescoping Stock Kits for Mossberg 500: Because this is a completely new design, we didn’t have any backorders for it, so we have plenty of these in stock.
Low-tube Telescoping Stock Kits for Remington 870: The redesigned Low-tube adapters for Remington were a long time coming, but now we have them in stock.
Low-tube Telescoping Stock Kits for Mossberg 500: Another new design, we just got our second batch of these this week from the plating house.
High-tube Telescoping Stock Kits for Remington 870: We have completely redesigned these adapters and are expecting the first production versions to start shipping around the beginning of May.
High-tube Telescoping Stock Kits for Mossberg 500: These adapters have not changed, and have not been backordered at all.
SureShell Shotshell Carriers
As we write this, our clamshell packaging supplier tells us they are backordered on SureShell carrier packaging until 28 April, but we will resume SureShell carrier shipments the next day.
Because a huge spike in orders for our SureShell Shotshell Carriers with Rail for the Benelli M4 occurred just as we were revising the extrusion tooling, these were delayed for a couple months earlier this year. We have plenty of them now, with superior fasteners.
Our much-anticipated SureShell Shotshell Carriers for the Mossberg 930 have been waiting since November for special fasteners we are having custom-made by our screw machine house. We are told these will be in sometime next week, which means we will probably start shipping these out when the clamshell packaging is here on the 29th.
Finally, our Saddle Mount SureShell Shotshell Carriers with Rail for the Remington 870 have become our second most popular line of products. There is no holdup with the components or packaging of these items and we have plenty of them to ship.
We at Mesa Tactical want to thank you for your continue patience and understanding.
