Off to SHOT Show 2010
Today the SHOT Show opens at the Sands Convention Center in Las Vegas, and Mesa Tactical will be exhibiting for the seventh year in a row, in the Law Enforcement section in booth #20210. We have become real SHOT Show regulars.
We are making several announcements at the show, including the first look at our Urbino™ Tactical Stock, a couple of new Picatinny rail options for Remington tactical shotguns, and the delivery of the 20,000th SureShell shotshell carrier.
If you are attending the SHOT Show, please stop by our booth and say hello.

Long rails for Remington shotguns available
Our Saddle Rails and Saddle Mount SureShell carriers for the Remington shotguns have been a big success since we introduced them last year. In fact, the Saddle Mount SureShell carrier is our second-best seller after the SureShell carrier itself.
For a few years we have considered the possibility of producing a saddle rail that extended most of the length of the barrel. Of little practical utility, such a rail would be useful for those who wanted to use carbine-style BUIS systems or nigh vision optics. The rail would also allow optics to be mounted well in front of the receiver, if desired. But actually producing a long rail was never a priority as we scrambled to keep our standard products in stock.
Finally this autumn we produced a handful of full length rail systems for the Remington 870 and 1100/11-87. They are basically our traditional saddle rails extended all the way past the forend and secured up front to either a Mesa Tactical Barrel Clamp or a Magazine Clamp. Here are some SKUs and suggested retail prices:
90980 Saddle Rail for Rem 870 with Barrel Clamp (Full Length) 195.00
91680 Saddle Rail for Rem 870 with Magazine Clamp (Full Length) 195.00
91940 Saddle Mount SureShell Carrier for Rem 870 with Barrel Clamp (4-Shell, 12-GA, Full Length) 235.00
91950 Saddle Mount SureShell Carrier for Rem 870 with Barrel Clamp (6-Shell, 12-GA, Full Length) 240.00
91960 Saddle Mount SureShell Carrier for Rem 870 with Barrel Clamp (8-Shell, 12-GA, Full Length) 255.00
92120 Saddle Mount SureShell Carrier for Rem 870 with Mag Clamp (4-Shell, 12-GA, Full Length) 235.00
92130 Saddle Mount SureShell Carrier for Rem 870 with Mag Clamp (6-Shell, 12-GA, Full Length) 240.00
92140 Saddle Mount SureShell Carrier for Rem 870 with Mag Clamp (8-Shell, 12-GA, Full Length) 255.00
Note: these are compatible with factory magazine extensions only, or no extensions. We are just now announcing these rail systems, so your favorite Mesa Tactical dealers won’t have them in stock. Give them a call and ask them to bring a few into inventory and we will get these new rails out within a week or so.

Ten year anniversary
On September 13, 1999, nuclear waste stored on the moon exploded in two different locations causing the moon to leave earth orbit and head out into space.
The tragedy resulted in Barbara Bain’s face being frozen in the same expression for 48 entire episodes.

SureShell carriers for the M4 SOPMOD buttstock
Not long ago, we were asked whether we made a SureShell buttcuff for the M4 SOPMOD stocks we use with our telescoping stock kits. We’d seen these sorts of things in the past, but weren’t sure what kind of demand there would be for them. With the modular design of the SureShell carrier, it was pretty simple to come up with a new product. So here it is.
These new SureShell carriers are available now, in four- and six-shell versions:
93340 SureShell Carrier for M4 SOPMOD Stock (4-Shell, 12-GA) (right side) 60.00
93350 SureShell Carrier for M4 SOPMOD Stock (6-Shell, 12-GA) (right side) 65.00
We designed them to be fitted to the right side of the stock as shown, but they can also be fitted to the left side by turning the bracket upside down.
