I found that the FLEX interface has a cast in PLUG that prevents attachment of the Crosshair buffer, which is a solid threaded rod. Only a tube will fit.
Along the way, I failed to notice a small set screw in the bottom of the original buffer tube that resulted in ruining (cracked) the FLEX adapter and messed up the threads on the tube. Need a new part 95219.
I really like the idea of recoil reduction, but I need some way to mount it.
A good solution would be something like a stepped male to female threaded tube (hollow) to accept the Crosshair and thread into the FLEX stock interface. Still looking.
I successfully removed the FLEX stock connector and am now ready to order the MESA Tactical pistol grip and MOSSBERG 500 stock adapter.
The red thread lock on the stock bolt yielded to the 5/32" hex key without heat. Lucky me.]]>
In the product description of the SureShell carrier, it states "SureShell shotshell carriers are available for Remington, Mossberg, Benelli, FN and Keltec shotguns, with and without integrated Picatinny optics rails,...".
I cannot seem to find one for the Benelli M4 without an integrated Picatinny rail. Does one exist, or am I just not looking in the right place?
Thank you for your help!]]>
There appears to be a contradiction between the FAQ and product description when it comes to the Shotshell carriers for Benelli Tactical Stocks.
In the FAQ it states: "It is a simple stock mount arrangement, which allows you to mount a four-shell carrier on any M-series semi-auto Benelli shotgun with a standard pistol grip stock".
In this product's description, it states "(does not fit on Benelli M4 stocks, nor will this shell carrier fit on the Urbino Tactical stock)".
I was wondering if you could clarify this? If it does not fit the Benelli M4, why doesn't it and is there another alternative method to mount a shell carrier to its stock?
I'm really confused which SureShell polymer carrier to order for my Benelli Tactical Supernova. I already have the factory picatinny rail but it doesn't make sense how the polymer carrier actually connects to the firearm if you don't get the mesa rail .
What model do I need. Thanks]]>
My remington 870 does not have have factory mounted picatinny rail which means no pre drilled holes. I wonder whether it is necessary to drill the receiver or not to stabilize the front of the supplied picatinny rail. Will 2 screws mounted on aluminum AR adapter be enough for safe & secure fit of picatinny rail.
