Hey, babob, I wanted to make sure: is the outside contour of your buttplate flush with the stock or are there little "wings" on each side of the buttplate?

It's hard to tell from the photo.  I want to make sure you got the right buttpad assembly (there are two versions, a "standard" version and one with "wings" for securing the cheek riser).

Re: Urbino Tactical Stock production status (was: July)

There is a slight lip.  It's not perfectly flush but, you tell me. smile

Also, I noticed that there's a little play in the pad assembly.  You can move it side to side and up and down a little.  A small click is heard when doing so.  If the insert tabs on the pad assembly were a little bigger then it would be tight and the pad would not move.  It's not that big of a deal to me...just wanted to point it out.

We have been so involved with the Benelli M4 rollout we haven't paid much attention to the other platforms.  The order is already in, so hopefully the mold guys are continuing with the required inserts.

BTW, today the Limbsaver pads came in.  We are shipping out the balance of all black Urbino Tactical stock backorders for the Benelli M4 Friday and Monday.

Well, as I predicted, any money that might have been used for toys is going to Christmas gifts for others.  Looks like the Urbino purchase will have to wait until sometime next year.  Maybe the trigger group issue will be fixed by then too.

Better be careful Phil, start making references to any "Urbino issue" might get your posts deleted. roll

KB, you must have this forum confused with some other one, with heavy-handed mods who edit and delete posts, or who have thin skins and can't bear the idea of someone on the Internet disagreeing with them.  Maybe you get a lot of your posts deleted elsewhere, but not here.

All we delete here is spam and defamation.  Whatever else you post remains for the world to see.

Re: Urbino Tactical Stock production status (was: July)

Hi Mitch, could you tell us what the various urbino stocks for the m1/m2 weigh compared to the original benelli stock?

This info is obviously important for us ID guys, and I figure if there is a weight savings with the urbino it could allow addition of a mini red dot or light for "free."

Great news for the Benelli shooters.
Any word on the shipping date for us Remington guys?

Comparing the Urbino Tactical Stock with the factory Benelli M4 stock, there isn't a big difference in weight:

Benelli M4 factory tactical stock: 1lb 10oz (26oz or 737g)

Urbino Tactical stock: 1lb 5oz (21oz or 595g)
Urbino Tactical stock with cheek riser: 1lb 10oz (26oz or 737g)

I think the factory stock for the Benelli M1 is lighter than the Benelli M4 stock, so there will be even less of a difference in that case.

Nothing more precise than what we have been saying for the last month or so: sixty days after the Benelli M4.

But I am hoping it might be sooner.  Had the mold guy in on Friday and he was non-committal.

Re: Urbino Tactical Stock production status (was: July)

Just received my Urbino with cheek riser and limbsaver. I also ordered the hook loop mount which I can happily confirm works 100% with the Magpul MS2 Sling's shackle.

The stock is fantastic. The need for a single flat head screwdriver to install it is, to me, an absolute non-issue. If the stock ever needed tightening in the field (which given how tight the stock is, I doubt will happen much if at all), it's nothing a flat head on a multi tool couldn't fix in seconds. The stock itself wasn't that hard to install, especially once I reminded myself the trigger group needed to be in the receiver to be installed.

The LOP on the stock to me feels VERY natural. The overall build quality is fantastic.
