Mesa Tactical Users Photo Thread

What kind of a firearms forum would this be without a photo thread?  I'll start with a pic of Mrs Mesa Tactical with our favorite Vang Comp Remington 870 Police model, fitted with:

90350     LEO Telescoping Stock Adapter for Remington 870 with Sling Swivel
90600     Aluminum 4-Shot SureShell for Remington 870 (right side)
90320     Aluminum 4-Shot SureShell for Remington 870/1100/11-87 (left side)

Just for good measure, there's a Limbsaver gel pad epoxied to the back of the buttstock.

Re: Mesa Tactical Users Photo Thread

Here's my old 870 Wingmaster Magnum (Police) with the MT Saddlemount/Aimpoint CompM2 combo...and a bunch of empty Remington Reduced Recoil 1 oz. slug loads (and some flattened slugs) fired on an MGM IPSC Rifle target recently.

The mount/scope are now on an 870P 14-in. with which I'm trying to bust a whitetail.

Re: Mesa Tactical Users Photo Thread

Here's my work 870P with 6-shot SureShell Carrier and Enidine Recoil Reducer/M4 Stock. Note the action has already cycled and is back on target while empty hull is barely below arm-level. The recoil reducer works very well indeed.

Re: Mesa Tactical Users Photo Thread

All,

As per my previous posts concerning using an optical sight, here's my Benelli SuperNova fitted with the Mesa rail and an EOTech512HWS.

The new, Hi-comb on the Comfortech stock allows for a better alignment through the HWS.

and also,

Rem 870HD. No practical use what so ever. Just a fun build. Now if I could only decide on a red dot.

Re: Mesa Tactical Users Photo Thread

I know the pic is bad, I'll post some better from my next shoot. (This is from a cell phone)
Here's my Winchester 1300 Defender, Vera. I fear she will always be a work in progress.

-Endine Shot Shock Recoil Buffer
-Magpul CTR
-ACE Ltd. Side Folding adapter
-One Shot Tactical 1913 rail (Clamp slightly modified for Winchester barrel)
-AR carry handle/flip up front sight

The Surefire weaponlight is attached via the bottom rail setup from my M14 SOCOM II, a temporary use, just testing it out.

Currently saving up for a Surefire Pump, and an eOtech 553.

Re: Mesa Tactical Users Photo Thread

Hey, Vicious, a couple questions.......

What type of shotgun is that?  Is that a mesa high tube adapter?  I'm looking at putting a Ace Ltd UL-M stock on an 870 and your shotgun looks very similar to what I was thinking.  Just wanted to find out if there was anything special that needed to be done other then putting the adapter on the gun and the stock on the adapter.

Re: Mesa Tactical Users Photo Thread

Its a mossberg 500 with a high tube adapter. The ace ar15 side folder will go right on with no problem.

Cav Arms adapters are good too.  At least they aren't plastic!

Re: Mesa Tactical Users Photo Thread

Here is a pic of my duty shotgun. It started out as a "stock" Scatterguns Technology 870 w/ 14" barrel. (Back when Scattergun was based out of Nashville before being sold to Wilson)

After I got my little paws on it I added a Surefire Lighted Fore-end, Mesa's Low Tube Adapter with the sight rail (which I believe was still in the prototype stage when it was sent to me). I slapped on a Trijicon Reflex II sight w/ Amber Triangle and used the dept issued side saddle. The only parts on the gun that belong to the city is the receiver, the barrel, and the side saddle....lol  shoots great too.

The only issues I have had was with the sight rail. Mine is one of the very early versions (if I remember correctly Mitch had told me it was originally been designed to work on the 870 and the Moss 500) and it sits too high off of the receiver (not a flush mount like the new ones). I had to get our Dept's gunsmith to mill out the center channel of the rail more so I could use the ghost ring sights under  the Trijicon base. I still need to mill out some more in order to get a proper sight picture, but it works so-so in an emergency.

We have discontinued those adapter-mount rails because hardly anyone bought them!
