Re: Urbino Tactical Stock production status (was: July)

Mitch

The price is now half...? That means #91470 is now $155 and #91590=$160. Can you post a full length pic of the coyote stock on an M4. Overall, it may look to goofy. In that case i elieve i will go with # 91470. Thanks.

Yes I saw mesa was originally working on a coll stock, but this was easier first.  Hopefully now that the fitment issues are worked out, it's only a matter of stopping the mold for the grip with nice contours and then making a stock.

I just published an essay on collapsing stocks for the Benelli M4.

Mitch,  I assume this utilizes the factory buffer underneath?  How ugly do you think it would be to dremel down the stock so it's the same as the factory grip and then use the factory coll stock?

Ugly is in the eye of the beholder.

So it is possible?

Re: Urbino Tactical Stock production status (was: July)

You mean is it possible to separate the front of the Urbino Tactical stock from the back?  No, since it is secured to the shotgun at the back.

I have a Benelli M-4 with the collapsible stock....I don't see your add-on cheek riser anywhere. Is it available for purchase?

Great product here, Mitch.  Heck I think I have about everything you sell for my trusty 870 Tactical.  Super quality and service.

Listen, I know these rich Benelli boys come first smile, but will the Urbino stock preclude the use of the Vang Comp big dome safety for us 870 owners?

We don't make the cheek riser for the factory collapsing stock.  At the moment, we don't have any plans to do this because the new cheek riser mechanism we settled on while finalizing the Urbino Tactical stock design requires a special buttpad.  If we can work out a way to secure the cheek riser with an add-on part we might revisit this.  But it would probably be more likely that we would simply offer a replacement collapsing stock (see the other thread on this).

Should do.  We have one of those on our Vang Comp Police 870 here, and we will be sure to check for fit before we finalize the design.

Re: Urbino Tactical Stock production status (was: July)

The version with riser and Limbsaver should take a week after the release of the basic model.  I was expecting the basic model this week, but I haven't heard from the plastics guys.

Mitch, some of us wont need the cheek riser (no optics)

Will your Benelli 4 shell carrier still fit this "new" Urbino as it does the current "old" M4 fixed stock

<say yes, say yes, say yes...>

Dang, never mind.  I just read the catalog..  sad

The Benelli stock-mount SureShell never fit on the Benelli M4 anyway.

I was told it would be the 1st or 2nd week of Nov. (when I placed my order in late Oct).  Oh well, looks like another couple weeks.

Mitch,

From the photos I have seen recently it looks like the flush cup is not included.  Is this correct?  Can't wait for these bad boys.

Thanks,

Danny

Re: Urbino Tactical Stock production status (was: July)

The closer the release of this thing gets to Christmas, the worse my chances become of being able to buy it.  Gotta buy presents for others which won't leave much money for gifts for me.  Come on Mesa!

Oh.  Well I think I'd definitely like to have QD sling swivel points as long as that won't add a few more weeks or something.  wink

Re: Urbino Tactical Stock production status (was: July)

The "pocket" sling mounts for the Urbino stock are illustrated on page 25 of Catalog #14.  They are stamped 11-gauge steel.  Instead of a flush cup, what we did to accommodate push-button sling swivels is machine a counterbore in a stamped and bent pocket mount.  The flange with the counterbore is bent over the shotgun receiver.

It works well, with the only downside we anticipate being that the flange is more likely to catch on gear and webbing.
