Cheek Riser For Urbino Stock (12-GA, Black)
Mesa Tactical's field-adjustable cheek riser for the Urbino Stock was developed to provide superior cheek weld when using optics. The cheekpiece snaps onto rails molded into the sides of specially equipped Urbino stock armatures. In the event of optics failure, the cheek riser can be quickly removed or readjusted to a lower level.
The Urbino Tactical stock cheek riser concept is simple. The cheek riser rides on a pair of rails molded into the sides of the stock armature, and is secured in place by the snap-in buttpad. There are five pairs of slots on the inside of the cheek riser offering a range of 1¼ inches of vertical adjustment in five elevations, in addition to using the stock with no cheek riser at all.
Because the cheek riser requires support rails on the side of the stock armature, cheek risers cannot be installed on Urbino Tactical stocks that do not have these rails. So while an Urbino Tactical stock with cheek riser rails can be used without the cheek riser, the opposite is not true: standard Urbino Tactical stocks cannot accept cheek risers. The decision whether to use a cheek riser must be made upon initial purchase of the Urbino Tactical stock.
Mesa Tactical’s specially-developed SureShell® shotshell carriers secure right on to the cheekpieces themselves. As with our other Mesa Tactical SureShell products, these shell carriers feature all aluminum construction. While rail-equipped Urbino stocks can be used without the cheekpiece, cheek risers cannot be fitted to stocks that do not have the rails. Urbino tactical stocks with cheek risers must use buttpads with cheek riser retaining “wings.”

Its a good solution on how to get a cheek riser on the stock, and has mounting holes for shell carriers. The TRICK to get it on without breaking anything is to have someone hold the shotgun while you bend the cheek riser sides apart a bit to flex it on without jamming it or breaking anything.
I had two of the risers break on my while operating my benelli m4. Mesa did replace them due to the awesome customer service.. but not sure how long the new one will last
While using this cheek riser the plastic tabs holding it in place broke off allowing it to slide around on the stock. I received another one from Mesa Tactical free of charge however it broke in the exact same way. This product does not seem to be very durable and I would not reccomend it for any serious use. I gave it two stars because even though it kept breaking it did not stop the shotgun from working.
