Product Description
SureShell® Carrier And Saddle Rail For Rem 870 W/ Mag Clamp (6-Shell, 12-GA, 20 In)
The saddle rails feature Picatinny rails machined from aircraft grade 6061-T6 aluminum, which are mil-spec hard anodized and provide an extremely durable non-glare matte finish. The basic saddle rail design provides a robust mounting platform suitable for mounting a variety of optical sights, also includes a Mesa Tactical four or six shell SureShell shotshell carrier mounted on the left side of the receiver. These versions are manufactured in compliance with MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny specifications, and no gunsmithing is required for installation. These saddle rails offer a perfect solution for adding optical sights and SureShell shotshell carriers to Remington shotguns equipped with Mesa Tactical’s LEO telescoping stock and pistol grip system.
Saddle Rails that extend the length of the shotgun are supported at the front by a barrel or magazine clamp. Certain full length rail systems available from Mesa Tactical, with and without integrated SureShell shotshell carriers, require a mounting point near the muzzle of the shotgun. On the Remington platforms, these mounting points take the form of a magazine clamp or barrel clamp. The fit between the rail and the clamp is very tight. The best installation procedure is to loosely install the clamp in its approximate location before attaching the rail at the receiver. Once the rail is firmly mounted on the receiver (or on the stock adapter for High-tube full length rails), move the clamp until the rail mounting holes are lined up and the mounting screws are started before finally tightening it into place. Use blue Loctite on all fasteners.
FOREND COMPATIBILITY
Factory shotgun forends, except “tactical” forends, often feature significant receiver overlap when the bolt is pulled back. These forends will need to be cut down or replaced with aftermarket “tactical” forends to be used with some SureShell shotshell carriers. Before you install a SureShell shotshell carrier, measure your forend’s receiver overlap and compare it to the furthest forward point of the shotshell carrier. Then cut any potential overlap or interference off the end of the forend with a miter saw or a rotary arm saw for a perfect fit.

REM 870 upgrade
This was an awesome upgrade to my Rem. 870 Marine Magnum. The rail was a perfect fit and length. I probably wont utilize the full rail length myself, but the option is always there. Plus, the rail is also a full barrel heat shield. An excellent product, and shipped quickly.

Sureshell Carrier And 20 Inch Rail
Just purchased this from a vendor online for a Remington 870 build and it's an incredible piece of work. The rail gives you all the space you need to mount optics and even BUIS's. The 6 shot carrier holds the rounds snugly and are simplevto remove. READ THE INSTRUCTIONS! All of the issues people have complained of about this product are explained in the instructions. Thev only reason they had an issue was because the instructions were ignored or not understood. Great piece of kit and I wouldn't hesitate to buy another.
