***NOT COMPATIBLE WITH THE BENELLI NOVA***
Mesa Tactical offers a shortened length of pull stock, known as the “Urbino” stock, for Benelli, Mossberg, and Remington shotguns. The Urbino stock kit is very popular in our law enforcement market due to the shorter length of pull, allowing the user to wear body armor or bulky clothing without extending their reach.
The reduced length-of-pull (LoP) makes the Urbino the first truly tactical stock for the Benelli SuperNova. The Urbino Tactical stock is durable, easy to shoulder and will not slip.
The Urbino Tactical stock, is a fixed-length pistol grip shotgun stock made from injection-molded glass-filled nylon. Developed to meet the needs of law enforcement and military operators, the rugged Urbino Tactical stock features a 12 1/2″ inch LoP, soft uretahne rubber grip, optional Limbsaver® butt pad, optional adjustable cheek riser and a variety of flexible sling mounting options.
All hardware included, no gunsmithing necessary to install.
- Injection-molded in glass-filled nylon, the stock features a 12 ½” inch length of pull (LoP)
- Shock-absorbing rubber grip sleeve reduces shooter fatigue
- The Limbsaver® butt pad is for greater shooting comfort, especially during long training and certification courses
- Includes Benelli-style rear sling loops for 1 1/4 inch sling webbing
- Includes a QD style sling swivel that fits in a hole in the lower rear of the stock

Absolute worst design. I had to drill a hole based off the instructions and then the Butt Stock would not securely fit on the shotgun. The riser that it came with completely failed and collapsed. Basically a trash product that’s supposed to be “designed” for the specific shotgun. Don’t waste your money if you have the supernova with the angular shaft with a small thread. It doesn’t work.
I returned the Urbino Pistol Grip Stock, as I would not like to both the visual look and mechanical engagement of the Limbsaver butt pad to the Urbino stock on my new tricked out Benelli M4. Your design would have and/or could have a much cleaner look if your designer had added two internal sections to the stock, so that the limbsaver butt could have been attached by using the standard screw mounting method. Your current design looks non-professional and does not represent your products well.
This is a great improvement over the factory pistol grip stock in terms of length of pull and the limb saver butt pad. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is the pistol grip itself is not nearly as comfortable as the Benelli one. The area that goes into the webbing of your hand is kinda flat instead of rounded so it doesn’t fit into your hand as well
This one item transformed my SuperNova from an awkward lump into an easily manageable home defense weapon. The reduction in LOP to something people under 6'8" or average-height people with non-orangutan proportions is only part of the story. The Limbsaver pad really does work to take the punch out of the recoil, and it does it without any gimmicks such as Benelli's Comfort-Tech stock (marketing BS if there's ever been) and its goofy, expensive, and nearly unobtainable gel pads. (Yeah, they saw me coming with that one.) Perhaps most important is that the Mesa Tactical stock utilizes a much more robust set of steel pins to ensure axial alignment with the receiver than the OEM stock's do with their plastic pins. I should note that I had absolutely no issues installing the Urbino stock. It went on securely with no need at all for modifications. Overall, the single best upgrade available for the SuperNova.
I purchased the Urbino Pistol Grip even though I already had the pistol grip on my SuperNova. Reason was it shortened the overall length just over 2 inches which made the gun so much more manageable and nimble. It looks great, fits the gun well and was super easy to install. I highly recommend it.
If you want just one versatile platform and you have the SuperNova field, the Urbino Pistol Grip is the best “upgrade” you could purchase. The LoP is PERFECT! It was so easy to install, 2 minutes. The angle of the grip is steep so when you have it shouldered its easy to absorb all the felt recoil. Robust rubber grip makes me feel like Ive got something in my hand. Using the supplied metal ring offers a sling mount from different positions. I would recommend, no question. My only regret is not getting the riser version!?!?!?!? I would recommend, no question.
If you own a supernova and have the money to invest into parts, and want a piece of equipment that can provide you solutions in many different environments this upgrade is a no brainer. The pistol grip feels perfect. It is robust in your hands, it give you the feeling your actually holding onto something. The LoP is PERFECT! I am a shorter guy, (5’7”) but even with a carrier on i can hold this up with one hand. I purchased this stock to use for turkey hunting and I can tell i will be able to sit for longer periods of time, on target than ever before. The stock was too easy to take apart and replace. All you need is a 13mm socket. I am recommending this upgrade to everyone.
Had the whole project done in under 20 minutes, just needed a socket wrench, 13mm socket and extender. Took ~2 inches off the OAL compared to the original stock. Haven't shot it yet, but looking forward to the Limbsaver.
Read the instructions prior to install, done in no time. Shoulders easy, handles easy, and puts the finishing touch on my Supernova. Limbsaver is gonna keep my shoulder in tact
